I decided that I'd wait to update till this morning, so of course lots of interesting/amusing things happened.

Let's start with the fact that I finally reached my hiding-behind-the-couch moment with Doctor Who. I feel like a real fan now! Okay, so I didn't exactly hide behind the couch, but holding a pillow in front of my face as I was watching the last ten minutes has to count, right? There's not really a space behind the couch to hide.

Mom cleared out the fridge last night, and found a bag full of catnip. Blackie still thought it was good, and proceeded to eat a bit, and then roll around in some flackes, before getting very silly and mellow. Cue several minutes of me giggling insanely as I witnessed him doing some absurd things.

Speaking of Blackie, can someone please tell me why my neutered cat is suddenly attracting the other cats? There's a stray cat that's been hanging around our house, shooting lovesick glances at Blackie. Blackie is trying to ignore the other cat's existance. Didn't we get enough of this two years ago with Betsy?

Oh yes, especially with most of his fur shaved off until he resembles a miniature black lion.

We just had The Empty Child, the one in the 1940s, where they meet Jack and discover the people turned into gas-masked aliens. I freaked about the point where Nancy was cornered in the house and the Doctor, Rose, and Jack were trapped in the hospital.

I LOVE that episode. Freaked the absolute crap outta me too. Wonderful eps, they are.

Although, I've since taking to saying "Mummy. Mummy. Are you my mummy?" are fair bit. :D

Last night was one of the rare times I could tune in to Doctor Who, and it was scary! Very good, though, and I do hope I can see the conclusion next week.

hiding-behind-the-couch moment

I love it! :D Is that a DH reference?

Old school fans joke that you're not really a Doctor Who fan until you've watched an episode hiding behind the sofa whimpering. Because even though half the time you can see the zippers on the alien suits, they still frighten you. David Hewlett, as an old-school fan, probably has heard/made the joke at least once.

Now all of a sudden I'm really interested in knowing what the heck DH thinks of the new series.
