May. 10th, 2006 07:00 pmGreat line today in Philosophy, my teacher mentioned that on Friday we were going to have a debate oriented class. My response: More so than usual? Because really, we talk all the time in Philosophy. The problem is getting us to shut up long enough for her to introduce the new material.
Also, could someone remind me to bring the 2001 version of Godspell into class on Friday? Sure, the majority of the recording's rather bad, the tempo's too fast on the slow songs and the cast lacks energy on most of the fast songs, but the prologue is good, and very apt. It's a bunch of philosophers, each expounding their own ideas, even when they directly contradict what the other is saying, and it builds and piles on top of each other. But so much of what they're arguing about relates directly to what we're discussing, and it's an amusing take on it.
And in news that may shock some of you, I chose not to go to the library today. It's wet and yickie outside, and I decided to stay home and bake ginger cookies instead. Mmm, spicy and fragrant.
