Note to self: Never start pondering what ifs and alternate endings for episodes late at night. Especially when the entire cast of Doctor Who starts talking in your brain about it.

This is what I get for giving in to temptation and watching School Reunion and Girl in the Fireplace on Saturday. I'm writing fic, the first chapter's up on whofic.com, I'll post it here in my journal later today.

I think this latest invasion of my brain is going to force me to retire my claims of "not a fic writer". I've now written stories in three different fandoms, four if you count Biblical Midrash as something sort of like a fandom.

In other news, the rest of Mother's Day was fun. Elizabeth cooked a recipe she'd gotten from her Jewish landlady, her boyfriend helped out and hung around with us later, and Mom and I made Dad do the dishes. Guess which part really made my night.

And I'm re-reading The Screwtape Letters, which, combined with what we're covering in Philosophy right now, has my brain even more hyper than it already was. This could be dangerous.

I'm glad you had a great Mum's day. And that your Mom had one (I assume).:D

Also, I have two fandomly related questions. Do you have good Teyla voice in your head? If that's a yes, some time over the next six weeks when I'm ready, may I borrow it?

And secondly, because I'm hoppingly curious and am really looking forward to it but don't want to bother - so tell me to bugger off, if you wish - but I was wondering when you were posting your Elizabeth meta. Because I want to see your brain's take even more since the last time!

Sorry, no, I don't really have Teyla talking to me yet. Otherwise, I'd lend her to you in a heartbeat. But what I find helpful is reading the episode transcripts, it helps me see the patterns of speech without getting distracted by everything else that's going on in the episode.

I won't tell you to bugger off! Right now I'm kind of stuck on my meta, so it's in a holding pattern while I tell the other things in my brain to shut up, but I'll post a link as soon as I get it finished.
