Meh, I haven't watched it yet but I'm not that troubled anyway. Bellisario's done stuff like this before, most recently with JAG. Season premiere will probably involve a 'get him back here' arc.
I went into this unspoiled too and was shocked. I really, really, really think he should come back.
Sadly, I also think that Firefly should still be on the air and Tom Cruise should go bankrupt.
Back to NCIS. I think it's Mark Harmon's show. There's no way he can leave. And the whole scene with his old boss telling him about 9/11? That was heartbreaking.
