Jun. 29th, 2006 07:22 pmWell, I now have a place to live when I go back to school in the fall. I'd called the res life department, ooh, probably four weeks ago now, and recieved nothing back. Today, I finally had a free moment and was thinking about it, and I called again. Then I headed out to the library, and when I got back, I had a room assigned. Sometimes, it just takes a little nagging to get things done.
You know you've spent too long around children when you start reciting the Mother's prayer under your breath. It's the one which goes, "God, please don't let me kill this child, today." After the fourth scream of temper in under five minutes, you'd be hard pressed to avoid saying it.
The one really good thing about Thomas being off at boy-scout camp is that Mom and Dad and I get to experiment with cooking. Sara will eat anything, but Thomas is picky unless you're giving him more than three kinds of meat at once. We had an excellent pork curry last night, and we tried to make naan for the first time. Actually, Thomas should enjoy naan, and we all loved it, so we'll be making that again while he's around.
And Dad is really getting into writing his application for H_E. As in, he's been working pretty consistently on it for the past three days and I've already promised that I'll sponsor it once his journal is old enough.
