I've just gotten back from the second night of the Dayton Celtic Festival, my feet are sore, my hands are tingling from all the clapping I've done, and my throat is absolutely raw from the cheering. And I couldn't be happier.

Seriously, if you're anywhere in the Dayton area, go on Sunday. It's the only free Celtic Festival like it in America, the bands are amazing (Gaelic Storm), and there are some great merchants.

Sadly, one of the best boothes will be leaving after this weekend. The powers that be decided they didn't want to sell weapons, even when most of them are blunted, so he can't come back. I'm rather dissapointed, because that booth owner is incredibly nice. He always remembers Sara and comes out to talk to her. He told us this time that part of it was because he has a disabled son at home, and we talked a bit about how much we love our disabled relatives, but that we wouldn't wish caring for them on our worst enemies.

[livejournal.com profile] lady_tigerfish and [livejournal.com profile] x5_jondi, I'm really looking forward to going back out again with you.

Have you ever been to the festival in Dublin, OH? I went the summer before last, and had a great time. Of course, Tempest was there, and they haven't been back since.

Oh yes, hello. I've stumbled in from H_E, just so you know. *wave*

I haven't been up there, actually. It's on my to-do list, to do some year.

And yeah, we were just having the geeky book conversation there, weren't we? *waves back*

It's a fairly large event, with four or five stages for music. They have an amusing faux wake every year, I believe, with a dummy in place of the corpse. It's where I learned there's an Irish tradition of tying the corpse's big toes together, so the body can't be posessed and walk around.

Yes, that's me. Hallo.
