(no subject)

I've been re-reading To Kill A Mockingbird for the past few days. And, in the process, remembering exactly why it is that Atticus Finch is one of my all-time literary heroes. Because yes. He's a good man who does what is honorable above what is easy, and accepts the consequences. And he doesn't make a fuss over it, he just does it, because it's right, because he couldn't be who he was and not do it.

...Yeah. Reading over that, I think that last sentence pretty much describes all of my favorite characters of all time.

So, what about you guys? Any random literary heroes?
