I've got nothing I need to do this afternoon and I really want to write something.
First five people to comment with a character from one of my fandoms and one or two words for me to use somehow as theme/a word in the drabble get a drabble.
Available fandoms for today:
Harry Potter
Star Trek (Next Gen or Voyager)
Doctor Who
Narnia

Storm warnings
Date: 2006-10-13 06:45 pm (UTC)Hermione couldn’t decide whether it was stunningly appropriate, considering the tensions and challenges the couple had already faced, or a further proof that whoever ran the universe had a truly ironic sense of humor, sending a downpour like this in direct contrast to the attitudes present in the Weasley house that day.
But she smiled as she watched the rain lashing against the windows. Somehow, this storm, however else anyone else would take it, was a perfect expression of Fleur and Bill, dangerous and beautiful.

Date: 2006-10-14 04:42 am (UTC)Even now, Chakotay doesn’t remember who suggested that they move the meetings to dinner and afterwards. He thinks it was him, because even back then Kathryn was never willing to stop and take care of herself if something needed to be done for the crew.
But in the middle of one of those first dinner meetings, he’d glanced up and caught her gaze. And something clicked, and he was more at peace than he’d ever been before.

She's still alive
She's Still Alive
Date: 2006-10-13 07:01 pm (UTC)She’s still not sure how it happened. How Lucy, golden Lucy with her laughter and her heart large enough for the whole world, could be gone. How Peter, who never lost his strength and nobility, no matter what, hadn’t endured. How Edmund, with his grave eyes that saw everything, hadn’t foreseen this.
She’s still alive. That had to mean something.
She had to live for them. She was the only one left to remember Narnia, much as she’d tried to forget. She had to remember, for their sakes.

Date: 2006-10-14 04:29 am (UTC)It wasn’t the boredom that got to him. He at least had access to the ship’s databases, and he’d discovered a cache of fictional datafiles to read during the long hours.
But Sickbay seemed so echoingly vast when it was empty. With no others present, the darkened corners receded and the shadowy space emphasized his lonely state. There was no escape, no way out to places of light and warmth and people.
He always hated it when they forgot to turn him off.
